We are accepting applications for exhibitions taking place in 2020 and 2021. Please read the information below and follow the links to see the hire rates and online application form.
Phoenix Brighton runs a year round programme of exhibitions and events in the gallery. This includes curated exhibitions commissioned by Phoenix, guest curators and partner organisations, and exhibitions initiated via the application process described here. We offer a centrally located, highly-regarded, friendly, accessible and professionally managed space in which to present your exhibition. The public areas feature a cafe, meeting and workshop spaces and two exhibition spaces.
Artists, curators and exhibition organisers can apply for an exhibition space via the online application form (link below). They should have in place or be likely to raise funds to cover the venue charge (link to rate card below).
The main gallery is located on the ground floor of the building, in central Brighton. The exhibition space is approximately 11 x 14 metres, with a smaller adjacent space (see floor plan). One side of the gallery has windows facing the street. The walls are painted white, the floor is plywood painted grey, and the ceiling is 2.9 meters high, with LED track lighting.

Include all dates you are available when preparing your application. Bear in mind that we cannot reserve a place in the programme until your funding to cover the venue charge is confirmed. Minimum hire length is two weeks, with major exhibitions generally running 4 – 6 weeks.
